Dear Pandemaniacs,
It is with extreme disappointment and profound sadness that I inform you of my decision to retire from Pandemonium. As some of you may already know, two years ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This is a very odd disease for which there is currently no cure. Originally, my prognosis was very good. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, that outlook has changed drastically. For a year now, I have been trying to manage my illness without insurance, a physician or medication of any kind. I have not been successful, and for this reason I have decided to end my career.
I am very proud of the work I've done with Pandemonium and find it painfully difficult to perform at less than 100%. It is not fair to the audience, the band or myself. Therefore, Wednesday November 27, 2002 will be my final performance.
I wish to express my gratitude to all of you who've supported us over the years. I also want to thank the members of Pandemonium (past and present) for allowing me to live my dream. They are truly my brothers.
On that final night, please, no tears. I've shed enough of them and I have no regrets. It's been a hell of a run.
Thank you, goodnight.
Ray.
