....Pandemonium participated in "Banding" Together - A Tribute To The "Rock" Ronald Klemz on Saturday, November 26th, at Arabian Knights Farms Barn in Willowbrook, IL. The Klemz Benefit was a huge success. Hundreds of people from Darien and the surrounding communities gathered together to celebrate the life of Ronald Klemz. The benefit was an amazing show of support for the Klemz Family and it spoke to the type of individual that Ron was. A variety of acts performed throughout the evening to the enjoyment of all. Pandemonium performed a riveting 50 minute of our finest material, followed by The Burpin' Tacos who closed out the evening in fine fashion. Ron Klemz was a founding member of The Burpin' Tacos. In a fitting tribute to Ron, the band aired a video clip from their performance at the 2011 Darien Festival. The clip featured Ron singing lead vocals on the Rolling Stones classic "Sympathy For The Devil". The video clip brought both cheers and tears from all who gathered in Ron's honor. Highlights from the Pandemonium performance included former Pandemonium lead singer Ray Hagen lending his vocals to the Uriah Heap song "Stealin'". The benefit raised over $11,000.00 for Ron's family. Pandemonium feels blessed to have been a part of this worthwhile cause.

While Ron was on the mend, Jay and Scott's Kings band played a show down in St Louis, and Warren's new Dio/Sabbath tribute Heaven and Hell has been playing out and about. Now that Ron is healthy again, we are gearing up for some summer shows. Thanks for being patient and persistently asking "When are you playing again?"

...Decisions, decisions. This game we call "life" can sometimes turn up the heat a little. Our friend and lead vocalist Max Bjork has decided to leave the Pandemonium band in order to focus on a changing career path, one that doesn't allow the time and energy to do both. Max will be going back to school in the evenings, and doesn't feel he can continue with us at this time. The door is open to return sometime down the road, but we'll just have to see what happens. The remaining Pandemonium members seem intent on keeping the ball rolling. Stay tuned for further developments as they become available. We wish Max the best of luck in his future endeavors. A quality vocalist, and above all, a quality person. He will be missed!

Thanks to Rob, Tara and the whole staff of Rorys for hosting us, and special thanks to our friends in Sucker Punch for opening the night with some killer modern covers. Special thanks to all at Sean Kaley's, including Dave the sound man (and drum pedal repairman) and the numerous beautiful bartenders! Also a pleasure to work with Kashmir...a bunch of great guys and awesome Zep tribute.
... was the initial reaction by some of the folks walking into Shark City on Saturday, September 27th. Max certainly got the gold star for bringing out many friends and family to witness his first Pandemonium show, and he did not disappoint. Although we couldn't play a bunch of new songs we were working on cuz the main band Infinity was headlining, we gave the early crowd a treat by cranking up Journey's "Separate Ways" during our sound check. Thanks to all for coming out and welcoming us back to the live stage. We had a blast, and it was great to be back where we belong, up on stage cranking out Classic Rock, All Night Long!
...Read Ray's "thank you" message to the Pandemaniacs and welcome to Max.
...Max Bjork has signed on as the new Pandemonium frontman. Max hails from North Elgin, and is excited to be playing with the Pandemonium crew. Max' influences include Journey, Boston, Styx, Triumph and Europe, among others. We're not exactly sure where we're going to go with Max in the band, but things definitely look promising. Watch this space for all the latest developments, as we hope to put together a whole new slate of Classic Rock.
...Read Ray's special message to the Pandemaniacs and to Pandemonium. We'll miss you Ray!

...was on everyone's mind at Synergy on Wednesday, November 27th (Thanksgiving Eve). The mood was strangely melancholy as we prepared to open the show for our friends in ARRA. Unfortunately, it was Ray's last show with Pandemonium. As tough as it was to watch one of our friends ride off in the sunset, we were satisfied in knowing that we had many great times together, and don't really know what the future holds. But, when the house lights go down, ya gotta put all that stuff aside...it's time to rock, and that's just what we did. A truly inspired night was had by all as we made sure to send off Ray with a solid performance. The surprises of the night had to be pulling off .38 Special's "Rockin into the Night", and an old Whyterock original called "Get It Tonight".
... at Rolling Lanes bowling alley on Saturday, September 21st. A great time was had by all at Countryside's finest ten-pin tornado. The marathon show had plenty of highlights, including new tunes "Love Ain't No Stranger" and "Hysteria". A nice turnout including Liz B, Pam S, Rob &Lori, Cindy, Rick, Kim, Mark & Sherry, and many more!
...at Sluggers on Saturday, August 17th. Thanks to Nick, Debbie and all the staff at Sluggers World Class Sports Bar. Kudos to our good friends in Government Warning for opening the show with a rocking set, and providing the PA and lights. Also, guest guitarist Danny Jurkowski on Crazy Train.
Unfortunately, no matter how much you can talk up a show, sometimes the people just don't make it out. Such was the case for Pandemonium on Saturday, April 20th at Synergy in West Chicago. While disappointed with the turnout, we still supplied the present Pandemaniacs with an action-packed show. Special thanks to the Chezaday crew for blowing off some pyro and decorating the ceiling fans with confetti! Thanks to Zeppelin tribute "No Quarter", for allowing us the stage room and drum riser, and thanks to owner John and all the staff at Synergy for allowing us to entertain them!
...at Penny Road Pub on Saturday, March 30th. Literally, the South Barrington Hills area was hit with a power outage around 8:20 pm and we almost had to bail on this show. But, the beer was still flowing out of the ice buckets and we hung out long enough for Com Ed to put us back in action. Much thanks to the Pandemonium faithful that hung tough either in the bar or out in the parking lot and made it worth our while. Ron Melze gets the gold star for bringing the most bodies...special thanks to Ron's sister for going down the road to another bar and getting the owner to fire the karaoke guy so we could come down and play if PRP shut down for the night. We were thisclose to almost making that happen...maybe some other time! Also thanks to the guys and gal in the Core band for sharing the stage with us.
...at Penny Road Pub on Saturday, January 19th. That's what new drummer Ron Melze had to do for his inaugural show with Pandemonium, as there were only 3 vocal microphones available for our use. Interesting how microphones started appearing as soon as we were done playing and MST took the stage, but no matter....we still rocked the house. Many thanks to all the standard Pandemaniacs that made the show, as well as introducing some new ones to the finer art of classic rocking. Thanks to owner John for having us (and checking us out multiple times!) and to the lovely waitresses and bartenders that keep the beers flowing. It felt great to be out playing again and we look forward to seeing you all again in the months to come...
In the weeks that followed our last show at Two Rivers near the end of March, Dwayne Pliska announced his intentions of leaving Pandemonium and joining forces with the TJ Dennis Band. It was an amicable departure and we wish Dwayne all the best as he pursues this exciting opportunity. Since then, Pandemonium has been enjoying some time off over the summer, and has also found a new drummer in Ron Melze. Look for us to return to rock the Chicago area sometime in November.
...A good time at Riley's Rock House. Things heated up once the club turned down the AC (it was freezing!). Special thanks to V-90 for opening the show. Thanks to Chezaday and friends for providing explosive special effects, and to Rick for joining in on harp for Smokin in the Boys Room.
...at the Knights of Columbus Lansing Fest on Sunday, July 23rd, as we rocked an opening slot for Southerland. Thanks to Bubba and friends for spinning the dials and cranking the monitors, and also to our good friend Rick for blowing some harmonica on "Smokin in the Boys Room".
...was "welcomed to the show" as Jay's lovely wife Lori gave birth to their second son, Jason Lawrence Laczynski, at 8:18 pm on Friday, May 19th, while listening to the dulcent tones of Van Halen's "Right Now". Statistics: 7 lbs 5 oz, 20.25 in. Although delivered a couple weeks premature, both mom and baby are doing fine and are home resting comfortably. We'll be taking some time off in the month of June to allow Jay and Lori some time to adjust to their new addition to the Pandemonium "family".
...in suburban Addison on Saturday, May 20th, as we did a double bill with our friends in Dawn Patrol. Special thanks to Rob and all the staff at Rory's (especially Annie the "band handler", Jennifer, Dianna, etc) for making us feel right at home for our first visit to this fine rock club. This night also marked the debut of Kings of the Nighttime World pyro technician Steve Chezaday working with Pandemonium. Thanks to Steve, Jeff and Tony for an explosive night. Numerous guest players joined the Pandemonium band, including the return of original Pandemonium drummer Ron Silay on "Open Invitation" and "Lights Out", as well as appearances by fellow Kings Randy Banks and Tom Hora on "You Really Got Me" and "Shout It Out Loud/RnR All Nite" respectively. Thanks to the local fireman contingent (Red, Bob) for making the trip, as well as the Ahaus', Silays, Mike, Tom and Shelly, Randy and Sherry, Dave and Judy, Jim and Lori, etc. Special thanks to Jay's wife Lori for letting him do the show after the birth of their second son, Jason, the night before...now that's dedication!
...at Magoo's Underground Lounge on Saturday April 8th. Thanks to Jay's brother Dan and his new outfit, Kilgore Trout, which also features Kings of the Nighttime World drummer Randy Banks as we opened with a 75-minute set prior to their debut performance. Special birthday wishes were in order for Dwayne, as he celebrated his 29th in style. Memorable moments include: bartender Jeanie, 37 paid (?), Mom LaSalle enjoying both sons jamming together during the Trout's set on "Surrender" and "Shoot Shoot", blowing the dust off the Doors "Break On Through...", $15 parking, good Loon Lake crowd turnout, the Halaps, Dwayne's b-day contingent including Cathy & Donna & Theresa & Jack, Scott and Barb dancing to the Kilgore's version of STP, etc. See the photos!
...at Barrington Rock House in Streamwood on St Patty's Day, March 17th, with our Irish compatriots(?) Black Sun (formerly Never Say Die). Thanks to Denise and all the staff at the Rockhouse for a wild St Patrick's bash. Special thanks to our favorite Pandemaniacs BarbChic, Chris, the Halaps, the Brandolinos, the Odiets, the Horas, Rockin' Ron Simon, Woody and pals, and especially Scott's New York connection (Angela, Lori, Marie Elaine) for making the trip. Memorable moments include: meet-n-greet at Barb's house, doing shots with Shelly, Dan the sound guy's special effects on "Godzilla", "Radar Love" debut, Jay's windmills, etc.

Check out the Kings of the Nightime World, Chicago's hottest Kiss tribute featuring members of Pandemonium and Cool Beans, as the "Y2Kings" tour brings them to Polly Esther's in downtown Chicago on April 6th. Surf to the site for more details...pretty wild!
...at BOHICA in Chicago (near Midway Airport) on Saturday, February 12th, as we played a 90-minute warm-up set for 80s rockers Dawn Patrol. A bit of a slow start made for cold reception from the partisan Dawn Patrol crowd, however they were soon converted to bona fide Pandemaniacs by set's end, participating in our sing-along "Rock and Roll All Nite". Thanks to all the staff at BOHICA (especially our fave bartender Michelle) for having us, and to Denise and all of Dawn Patrol for a truly "refreshing" rock and roll experience. Higlights include: great sound from SK Entertainment (thanks Steve), the blinding light show, loyal Pandemaniac sightings including Hopa, Chris, Barb, Chris, Liz, and Amy..., Ray's outrageous stage conversations with new Pandemaniac Cookie Crisp (I haven't been out in years....you guys rock!), Carter Shin, Dawn Patrol's hot lead singer Samantha, the guitar clinic in "Lights Out", the fans going wild for Scott's guitar solo in "Paranoid", another wild ride for Dwayne in "Sat Night Special", the ugly "Show Me the Way" (forever banished to late-night time-filling status), and more!
Plenty of the white stuff for everybody on January 29th as the Pandemonium band slipped/slid down LaGrange Rd south to Sluggers in Orland Park. Special thanks to everyone that braved the elements to party with us, especially the FlyByWire band who opened the show. Thanks to Nick and the staff at Sluggers for having us back, and to Butch Marsh for helping with the PA gremlins. Memorable moments include: distorted monitors, Roy's souncheck vocabulary, Jimmy Brandolino guesting on the Doors tune, debut of Frampton's "Show Me The Way", the wasted guest vocalist hassling Ray for more Zeppelin ("when the levee...") but couldn't sing a note of "Rock and Roll", the girl who thought we were great before hearing a note (i.e. she thought FlyByWire was Pandemonium), $1 domestic beers, etc
Yes, that was us "wasting away again in Margaritaville", a.k.a. The Cactus Club in Oak Forest on Nov 20. Thanks to Pete and all the staff at The Club for being so nice to us and the southsiders who came out to party with us. Special thanks to Liz Berg for providing the opening festivities. Highlights include: new light show, new mixing board, Pete picking up the band's bar tab (you're the coolest!), "Sunshine Of Your Love" for Tony, "Time For Me To Fly" for Cathy, old Van Halen for the gambling crowd, Ray's stand-up act (rated R), Dwayne's wild drum ride, etc.
...at our favorite Elk Grove Village sports pub, Ringside, occurred on Oct 23rd. Thanks to Rick and all the staff at Ringside for having us back again for another rowdy night of rock and roll. Thanks to our friends in Never Say Die for supplying a blistering set of Sabbath classics to start the night. Special mentions include: the meet-and-greet at BarbChic's house, Barb the video queen, Jim and Lorrie, Rachel and hubby, Big D, Tom and Shelly, etc. Highlights include: "Paranoid" with Never Say Die's Joe on drums, "Shooting Star" with Ray being sandwiched between 2 dancing ladies, etc.
