PANDEMONIUM, Cover Letter

Hello and thanks for showing an interest in Pandemonium! My name is Scott Leonard and I am the keyboardist/guitarist for the band. We are a five-piece rock & roll band based in Chicago’s western suburbs and have recently completed a three song demo for your perusal. Quickly, ours is a 70’s & 80’s classic rock cover band focusing on radio accessible album rock songs. Once you have reviewed the enclosed materials, I am confident you will be more familiar with us and what we have to offer.

Enclosed you will find our photo, a complete bio, and current song list. Of course, the most important item is the copy of our cassette demo, including our versions of Foghat’s “Fool For The City”, Jethro Tull’s “Cross Eyed Mary” and “Open Invitation” by Santana. We feel that these songs represent a sample of the sound and fury that is Pandemonium. Our main goal is to be able to play the music that we know and love, regardless of what’s “hot” right now. Hopefully, after reviewing this package and demo, you may help us maintain that goal and benefit in the process as well.

With the recent resurgence of classic rock on Chicago radio stations, we feel that we have a very valuable and marketable product. Quite simply, classic rock still works today because it’s safe and it sells. Together, we boast over 50 combined years of experience participating in the Chicago rock scene. We own our own sound system, so we’re not limited to venues with a house PA. We also have played “unplugged” at local coffee houses and charity benefits, using acoustic instruments in a subdued setting. Our mailing list is currently well over 150 strong and growing with each show we play.
